BUCS Conference 2018

This year's BUCS Conference will explore the mission of BUCS' 2017-21 Strategy – "the best university sport experience in the world." Through a variety of keynotes, workshops and provocative discussion, the Conference will explore how this is currently achieved and delivered across the breadth of programmes within the HE sector and ask the key question – is the HE sector in a position to be able to deliver this in the long term?
The BUCS strategy covers the full sport spectrum, from participation elements such as Physical Activity & Health, Social & Recreational Sport through to Intervarsity Competition and Performance Sport and is supported by additional strands of Professional & Workforce Development, Profile & Influence and Inclusion. BUCS Conference will explore and discuss how we provide students with a high quality experience at all these levels of participation and engagement. Whilst we may understand how to create a high quality experience, does this deliver against student expectations in an ever changing HE landscape? Do we understand the experience that students want in an age of competing and conflicting opportunities? Are we placing the student at the heart of the best university sport experience in the world?
