Findings from the most recent Sports Think Tank poll (conducted on www.sportsthinktank.com)show that much of the public do not have confidence in their local authority delivering a positive sporting agenda in their local community. When asked to complete the statement, "'My local authority is doing a good job helping to deliver a sport & physical activity agenda in my community.' Do you:", the most popular response was 'Disagree' with 42.1%. With 10.5% 'strongly disagreeing', over half of respondents (52.6%) showed they did not believe their local authority was currently doing a 'good job delivering a sport and physical activity agenda' in their local community.

10.5% of respondents 'strongly agreed' with the statement with 15,8% just 'agreeing'. 15.8% neither agreed nor disagreed and 5.3% were 'not sure'.

The Sports Think Tank will be conducting an in-depth and evidence-based study into Local Authority Sports provision in 2012. For more information, please contact talk@sportsthinktank.com.
