All-Party Commission Calls for a National Plan of Action to get People Active

Yesterday the All-Party Commission on Physical Activity presented to David Cameron its report on the state of physical education in schools. The report was led by parliamentarians Tanni Grey-Thompson, Barbara Keeley, Charlotte Leslie, Gerry Sutcliffe and Julian Huppert. Lord Coe warns that our children are the "least active generation in history" and could be the first to have a shorter life expectancy than their parents. It is reported that inactivity leads to 37,000 premature deaths and costs the UK £20 billion per year. Read the report here.
