Dan Corry

Dan chairs the Council of Economic Advisers at HM Treasury. A government economist in the 1980s, he has since 1997 been a special adviser at the DTI, the DfES, the former DTLR and the DCLG, as well as Director of the think tank the New Local Government Network.

His extensive list of publications include Game without vision: the crisis in English Football (ippr, 1993) and a contribution to a more recent ippr publication on football. He is a member of the Financial Advisory Committee of the FA.

Dan is a Chelsea fan, founding President of the Thames League and a former player-manager of Red Manace FC. He is a weekend tennis player whose main ambition now is to keep playing as long as he can before his back goes.
