Tim Payton
Tim is a member of the management team at AS Biss & Co, Britain's leading independent corporate and public affairs consultancy. The company has a strong practice in culture, media and sport issues. Clients Tim has recently advised include the Football Association, Sport England, the Fitness Industry Association, the FA Premier League, London 2012, Stanleybet and the Football Foundation.Prior to joining AS Biss in 1997, Tim spent three
years working within the Labour Party's National Heritage (now Culture,
Media and Sport)
team. He was adviser to Tom Pendry MP, then Labour's front-bench spokesman
on sport and tourism, working to the overall policy direction of the
Rt
Hon Dr Jack Cunningham MP. Among the publications he worked on were
Labour's Charter for Football (1995), the Anglers' Charter (1996),
Creating Excellence in British Sport (1997) and the Party's Sports Manifesto
Labour's Sporting Nation(1997).
Tim is an Arsenal season ticket holder and regularly plays tennis and
badminton. His most significant sporting achievement was
completing the 2004 London Marathon.
