The Sport and Recreation Alliance today launched its wide ranging report, Fit for the Future, at its Annual Sports Summit at the Kia Oval in London. Tracey Crouch MP, the new sports minister, will also use the opportunity to outline her vision for sport in this Parliament in her first speech.

Released shortly after the Conservative Government was installed, this report intends to set the scene across a number of areas where the Sport and Recreation Alliance feel there will be challenges for their members and the sector more widely in the coming years.

Two themes cut across all of these – the rise of technology and the need to tackle persistent inequalities in participation and involvement in sport and recreation at all levels.

A number of areas are included in the report, ranging from the fiscal challenges facing sport to the impact of governance, leadership and the workforce within the sector.
