Sport Minister speaks to the Culture, Media and Sport Committee

Tracey Crouch today faced questions from the Parliamentary Committee for Culture, Media and Sport on her work as the Sports Minister. The full interview can be viewed via the link below.

The Minister outlined her hopes for the new sport strategy and highlighted how the strategy is aimed much more at getting inactive people active, rather than helping already sporty people to take part in more exercise.

Topics touched on in the interview included funding issues, including a new deal with the Premier League for grassroots football; local authority cuts and their impact on community sport; coaching, including improving diversity and getting more women and BAME coaches into sport; football ticket-pricing; major events; doping; FIFA & wider governance issues.
