Athens Organising Committee President Orders Study into the Cost of the 2004 Games

Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki, President of the 2004 Olympic Games Organising Committee had commissioned a study into the true cost of the Games 10 years on. Previously, IOC President Jacques Rogge had indicated he thought that the Athens event contributed to the economic troubles of the Greek nation.

The study will be undertaken by the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research and they aim to publish the report before the end of this year.
