The STT wishes to express its sincere condolences to the family of Svend Elkjaer, following his sudden passing. He was good friend to us, providing great blogs and we loved promoting his thinking and approach to challenge us all. Thoughts are with his family and friends.

We always loved working with Svend because he was always willing to challenge the status quo. Sometimes not in a way that always pleased his audience, but he was usually right! he was years ahead of much of the sector. We also get tired of hearing parts of the sector who think things will change if they just try to do the same but work a bit harder. Sven recognised the problems in much of our 'sports' offer for those not already inside the system.

We will miss him and his work. In recognition of his contribution to changing the sport sector we will continue to promote his work and thinking!
